Hans Roggen Posted July 27, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It seems the 1.107 firmware has been pulled from Leica's website. Makes me wonder who is testing their firmware. It's been out for three minutes and the first bug appears.

guidomo Posted July 27, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 27, 2007 They announced the 1.20 FW for today, it seems they made the mistake to upload the wrong file. That's curious as the instructions for firmware installation specifically refer to the 1.107 version: http://www.leica-camera.de/assets/file/download.php?filename=file_2673.pdf
sdai Posted July 27, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 27, 2007 There's nothing to download on the site now. I did see v 1.107 this morning around 6 am EST but didn't download it because I was busy then.
mboerma Posted July 27, 2007 Share #7 Posted July 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The question is: Why didn't they pull of the PDF with the instructions and the version number of 1.107? So I quess that we will see an new version of 1.107 popping up in the site soon, not 1.
chris_tribble Posted July 27, 2007 Share #8 Posted July 27, 2007 Anyone have any further clarification? The joys of early adoption... installed the firmware on both of my bodies and no ill effects (no dramatic differences either....) Advisable to revert to 1.102 or wait for 1.2 (do we know when this is coming... today?)... In the meantime, I've spent a week walking in the English Lake District in all weather. Interestingly I've found that my ideal light kit is the M8 + 28 f2 lux and 135 Apo Telyt. REALLY seems to cover pretty well everything I needed for nature / landscape / people... mboerma Posted July 27, 2007 Share #11 Posted July 27, 2007 Erven, Remember they are not IT people, but they are photography lovers... It's all new to them. "Leica M" and the word "firmware" were never mentioned in one sentence one year ago....
Jamie Roberts Posted July 27, 2007 Share #12 Posted July 27, 2007 I'm not seeing the firmware update on the english site. It's there on the German one, though. Is it the same update? Is it the *right* update?

I'm OK about re-downloading and re-installing or even reverting to 1.102... It would be nice to know though... Or do we wait for 1.2?
