frogfish Posted May 5, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 5, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) After crashing my M7 I got an MP as a loaner. Was considering buying one as I love my M2 and thought, well its an M2 with a light meter. But man, this bright light meter is unbearable... in low light its so bright I cannot even see the subject, let alone the frame-lines. Is mine broken, or is it like this? Advertisement Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Hi frogfish, Take a look here Leica MP - annoying bright light meter?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dkmoore Posted May 5, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) I think there is something wrong with your MP. I have an MP and this is not an issue at all. In fact, I have to purposefully look for the meter to see it if I need it. It shouldn't be any different then your M7. a.noctilux Posted May 5, 2019 Share #3 Posted May 5, 2019 When I had my two MP, the LED brightness was automatically adapted to the ambiant lighting. So if the LED brightness is too high, when it's dark, the MP is faulty.
