cmb_ Posted July 25, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Shot at the American Museum of Natural History in NY today. There was about a one inch gap at the corner of the glass enclosure and I was focusing through that which made the edges blur (in a nice way I hope). R9/DMR, 60 macro at 2.8, 1/125s, ISO 400 (with 1.3 firmware).

Artichoke Posted July 25, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 25, 2007 such captures are a challenge & this one was well worth the effort I like the expression on that paleolithic critter:)
stuny Posted July 25, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 25, 2007 Charles - See what happens when you forget to feed your pets? Mother warned you about that. Excellent shot, and I agree that the glass does enhance the effect significantly. BTW: If you visit for even one special exhibit per year a membership to the museum is a bargain. rRght now they have their live frogs exchibit, again. they will repeat it every two years, alternating with their lizards and snakes exhibit. cmb_ Posted July 25, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted July 25, 2007 Arthur and Stuart, thank you for the comments. Stuart - frogs is on my list of things to attend soon and I do have a membership. The nice thing about a membership to any museum is that I can pop in to see something and not feel like I have to spend the whole day there. Museum entry fees in NY are getting high.
