A36 UV/IR filter for old screwmount lenses?

I've checked with Foto Huppert and they dont have this type of filter... Does anyone know what it would take to jury rig one together? Or if another company offers a solution? It seems silly not to have this size since everyone that wants to use any of the old LTM lenses will need this filter size. Certainly they could make their money back + profit if it were offered...

Some days ago there had been some posts on this... two solutions :

- Find an old but not rare Leitz item code SOOGZ / 13154: it's an A36 ring with the usual retaining screw, and with an E39 filter thread. Perfect, maybe some issue on hoods usage. Was marketed in the '50s/'60s just for this reason: using E39 filters, that at the time became the standard on new lenses, on the A36 mount lenses that abounded in the previuous years (Elmar 50-90, Summar, Hektor 135...)

- Cut away a 36 filter from a 39 one, and place it into a A36 filter mount deprived of its glass: A36 filters abound, are cheap, and working with care you do not distruct at all the original A36 filter (the E39 of course, is lost in its original size).

How about a 35.5mm filter rather than a 36mm? I ask this because I'm pretty sure B+W makes a 35.5mm IR/UV filter... Maybe that's a decent solution...

I Think that problem is that the B+W filter you quote is anyway a threaded filter... A36 are not: they are clamped on the lens mount (see a 50 mm Elmar for example) and retained in position by a lateral screw: if you find a picture of the SOOGZ I mentioned (days ago there was one at Newoldcamera - Home page , with picture) or the picture of any A36 filter (can find easily on the Net), you well realize what's the problem
