Bokatom Posted March 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got my 7Artisans 55m 1.4 L mount lens today. It's a nice looking chunky bit of kit, and arrived just in time for my holiday today so hopefully I will get some use out of it. I wondered, is there a way with manual lenses of getting the T to zoom in to check focus? I thought I'd seen it somewhere but can't seem to find out how to do it? I'll try and do a review of the lens when I've had some experience with it. TIA Karl PS test shot at ISO 2000, 1/100, f5.6 attached Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Hi Bokatom, Take a look here Leica T with manual lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Bokatom Posted March 11, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted March 11, 2019 Tried another shot, my eyes were directly into the sun and focusing with the screen was pretty tough! I've got the Visoflex on order 🙂 Welcome, dear visitor! brklyn Posted March 11, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 11, 2019 Happy to help. Make sure Focus Aid is set to On. The left dial will then become the magnification wheel. First turn, 3X. Second, 6X.

Bokatom Posted March 11, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted March 11, 2019 Doesn’t seem to work for me. My lens is L mount manual, maybe it only works with the Leica M adapter? I’ve tried all the different shooting modes with focus assist on and off. Firmware version 1.9 🙁
Louis Posted March 11, 2019 Share #7 Posted March 11, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I am using Nikkor lenses via an adapter and magnification does work. It is a little tricky to set it up right, but it does work! After each firmware, I always take much time to set it up and I always forget how to do it! lol Edited March 11, 2019 by Louis
plasticman Posted March 11, 2019 Share #8 Posted March 11, 2019 Does this post help?
al_exus Posted March 12, 2019 Share #9 Posted March 12, 2019 The camera needs to be switched to aperture priority mode. Spin the left wheel. The symbols for setting the wheel function will appear on the screen. Factory setting is ISO. Click on it and select the focus mode item. After that, when shooting, you can turn the left wheel. Works with any adapters. From user manual: Welcome, dear visitor! Bokatom Posted March 12, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted March 12, 2019 Brilliant! I should have realised that with Leica’s touchscreen interface touching the button was the way to change it doh! Thanks to everyone for your help. Much appreciated ❤️
FMJ71 Posted June 1 Share #11 Posted June 1 Hi I just bought a Leica T and all seems fine and will take a picture with no lens (but obviously it's white) but I just wanted to check it worked at all. However when I connect my new TT Artisan L mount the screen is totally different black. I have set in Aperture Priority mode, manual and all modes. It will not take a picture and the screen totally black. The aperture opens perfectly on the lens itself but screen still black. What am I doing wrong?
AdjusterBrett Posted June 26 Share #12 Posted June 26 I'm no techie - but on my TL2 with el-cheapo Chineasium adapters - about every fifth lens change I will get NOTHING on the screen or the EVF (VisoFlex). I simply unmount and remount (just press the release button and rotate the lens and then re-engage (without lifting the lens/adapter off the mount) - and it always works.
