hockey44 Posted March 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have tried charging one of my batteries using the Leica charger and it shows 80% light on and charging, when I install in camera it read only 65%. So then I tried the Nitecore charger (USB) and says "full" or "end" but still showing 65%. What am I missing here? Thanks

Exodies Posted March 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2019 Batteries take a few charge-use cycles to become fully charged.
hockey44 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted March 8, 2019 I have had the batteries since the M240 was new....my guess 50k cycles so far (using 2 batteries)-- what is their life typically?

That is miraculous. Your batteries are so strong, still showing 65% , wonderful batteries that merit replacements.

a.noctilux Posted March 9, 2019 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) To be more positive... In my Leica M stable, batteries for M(240) family are the most reliable: I've never had trouble with either on M(typ 240), (typ 262), (M-D) that I use for years. They never fail or get hot (like M10 batteries when I use Visoflex 020 on it) Just see this in M240 manual, "replacement of battery every four years use" (have a look at your M manual). Experience with my other Leica M batteries : when they show weakness, better replace them ASAP. Edited March 9, 2019 by a.noctilux
