barjohn Posted July 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) When viewing images in develop mode in LR 1.1 of images taken with the 90/2 uncoded, it will display that the lens was a 90 below the histogram...sometimes. At other times or images it fails to display the lens focal length. First, how does it know it is a 90 when the lens is uncoded? Second why is LR intermittent in displaying the information? Even on the same image it displayed one time the next time it may not. Anyone else seeing this phenomenon?
Advertisement Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Hi barjohn, Take a look here Lightroom and 90/cron question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted July 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 22, 2007 John, It seems that a screw on the lens mount sits near the coding LEDs and sometimes the coding system reads this as a 90. (I've noticed this in a few other threads and it happens with my 90 Elmarit too.) I haven't noticed the LR phenomenon you mention but equally I haven't looked for it either. Pete. spylaw4 Posted July 22, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 22, 2007 LR will only display the info if it is in the EXIF file. But I have no idea why it should be intermittent. Try the LR Forum on the Adobe website - maybe there is a Q&A on this topic or you could ask there.
