I am going a little crazy trying to figure out why there is no Nikon lens to Leica adapter that seems to focus correctly at infinity (i.e., scale on the lens matches image plane focus).

I can do it by stacking a Leicaist Leica M to Konica AR and a Konica AR to Nikon F adapter, but I'd like to get this into one piece.

Does the Novoflex LEM/NIK work properly? Because the Chinese ones sure don't. They are all between 1/4 and 1mm too short, allegedly because telephotos and super teles have trouble focusing to infinity when warm, but it sounds like a cover story for sloppy tolerances.

Thanks,
Dante

Hi,

Since a couple of weeks ago, I have been using with my M240P the newer version of this Novoflex, LEM/NIK NT, without any problem to focus at infinity with all the Nikon lenses I have, from wide-angles (21mm.) to telephotos (300mm.). The build quality looks good, although I have found that the aperture selection dial needs a lot of force to move and the Nikon lens release lever is not the most ergonomic. But anyway I’m satisfied with it.

Best regards.

If you want a hard stop at infinity like I do, you need do some work yourself. I am not really a handyman, so this is something that anyone can do. Just use some silver foil.

A picture showing the adapters (Nikon F and Pentax K) with paint, they are from a company called K&F Concept. The Leica R-Adapter M have a hard stop infinity, but it cost ten times more
