It looks good but it seems to me that it moght be awlward operating the shutter release whilst holding the grip,due to the shape and depth of the grip. It was very comfortable and sturdy, and i had no issues with controlling and operating the camera (M7). I eventually did return mine, though. No fault of the ML grip. I've always thought i would want a grip for my M, as i have large hands. I've used a Luigi case and flirted with the M-Motor, but i seem to be happier with just the camera. But, the ML grip, for my hands, was far better than the Leica product, and better than the M-Motor for handling (the Motor does feel awkward to me). frc Posted August 9, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 9, 2006 I've always disliked having my camera bumping into my stomach with each step I take, therefor I use a wriststrap. Holding the camera around the body, thumb on and fingers under, gets uncomfortable after a while. The grip does take getting used to it in the beginning but after getting accustomed to it it gives a very secure and comfortable grab when carying your camera by hand. Shooting is a bit different for starters but is also a matter of getting used to. I can't speak for you but I'm very happy with my M-grip. Francis. When the ML_grip cam out I checked with Photoequip and it is identical in size to the Leica grip - so I didn't order one. The grip didn't give me enough more grip, if you understand what I mean, so I liked the M better without one in the end. The centered tripod mount is the only thing I miss. The rubber coating is excellent and the bottom plate is superior. Basically, there is no comparison between the two. You must use the Photo Equip grip to fell the difference.
