I do not really understand this "stealth" frenzy, it always makes me laugh. It's like putting a piece of red tape on the Ferrari logo of your car and pretend that everybody believe it's a Trabant.
If one's so scared about his camera being robbed, instead of a Leica he should just buy a 35 € Lomo Instant.

You are right. An ignorant camera snatcher usually goes for either the big boy with as many buttons as possible or the quick-sell P&S, but when he knows his stuff he will recognize a Leica by its shape.

The title of the post is "how to 'get' attention", so I don't know why anyone would think OP is trying to conceal his gear.

Einst_Stein is just personalizing his camera. More power to him.
