I recently acquired a 2nd hand Noctilux 50mm f0.95. When I take images with M10 range finder, there is back focus shift. The images with EVF are fine. I tested the lens with M10 on a tripod, I confirm the back focus shift.

My M10 is fine with my Noctilux V1 and my Summilux 50mm. So I would not like to adjust my M10.

Would members suggest me to send the Noctilux back to Leica for tuning or calibration? I heard that this Noctilux cannot be  re-calibrated, but I cannot confirm this with online information.

If you have done this test several times with new focusing and the same result, you should send it to Leica for recalibrating. It's done for free if the lens have some warranty left, otherwise you have to pay for it. I think I once paid about 300 USD for a similar service.

I haven't heard that this lens cannot be recalibrated, it sounds very strange.

It’s a back focus and can definitely be calibrated on the lens itself. I visited Leica Wetzlar and they checked all my Leica stuff. The CS guy told, if something would be off on the Noctilux they definitely would need to keep it there, since the calibration process is quite complicated, but 100% doable.

Independent repairman can also fix this, I once had a lens that Don Goldman brought back to life, the lens was perfect except calibration was slightly off.  He asked me to return it to him, no body sent, and he knew exactly what to do on the calibration and returned it perfectly adjusted.

I think the F0.95 Noctilux is a little exception.

It could be your camera out of adjustment. Do you have another (or other) lenses you could check in the same setup? If it is the camera then you can adjust the rangefinder yourself. Saves a 2 month wait.

I have  50 cron, 21 sem, 28 emarit, on a MP240 , all focus  perfectly.

I bought a 7Artisans 50 1.1 and had same problem as you with back focusing.  The 7Artisans can be adjusted, so i did and now is focusing properly.

Seems your Noctilux  requires calibration. Hopefully you are close to  NJ

Update us once you have it calibrated, Im interested as to what you think about how it compares to your 50 lux

I went through this about 2 years ago with my 0.95.  I live in NJ and Leica NJ is only about 1/2 hour drive from my office.  I realized I had an issue because I was testing the Nocti with a Summilux on a M246 I had just received.  I took both lenses, the M246 and my M240 to Leica and went through it with the tech there.  The brand new M246's rangefinder was also out.  They repaired that in a day. When I went to pick up everything, he told me he was keeping the Noctilux because it was back focusing.  They added a shim to correct it.  The repair took two months but when I got it back focus was spot on.  It's a great lens and it's disturbing and frustrating that it isn't working correctly.  Given the cost of this equipment, I was very disappointed that the mono and the Noctilux (bought new) needed to be fixed.

I only have good things to say about Leica NJ.  They do take their time but when I got my lens back it was perfect.  I'm sure someone else could correct the problem but for me I wouldn't chance it.  I wasn't charged anything as the lens was still within the warranty period.  Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I've had both types of experiences with NJ, when they're good they are very very good........

One reason I am reluctant to move away from my now perfect M240 is the year long calibration of many lenses and an added M9 body.  Once everything was calibrated I test each lens before purchase for compatibility with my system.  Maybe I am too demanding, the calibration makes the difference between good and outstanding.
