jmr Posted August 8, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted August 8, 2006 Victor, Â I like your gallery at the link above. I particularly like the shots of the guy playing the violin and the close-up of the Johnnie Walker clock. The people shots are really full of life - well done. albertwang Posted August 9, 2006 Share #6 Â Posted August 9, 2006 I love the postmodern structures in Israel. Okay, why isn't SLC more like that?
vic vic Posted August 9, 2006 Author Share #7 Â Posted August 9, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) ya albert - telaviv and israel is intresting indeed. the older building system is very intresting. it is not pure bahaus (though in haifa and telaviv there are such ones), it is neither la curbusier, but some feeling of those styles is evident in the older buildings in general. but newer ones are so tasteless and without any style (exept the big conteporary buildings). Â SLC, u mean salt lake city, rite??
albertwang Posted August 9, 2006 Share #8 Â Posted August 9, 2006 Yes, Salt Lake City. I love Temple Square but there are only two modern buildings- the public library and one small house near Capitol. Everything else is a cookie cutter rancher. Yuck! Â I love IKEA so basically I am going to be happy with IKEA furniture for sure!
vic vic Posted August 9, 2006 Author Share #9 Â Posted August 9, 2006 ya ikea is nice :-) though here in israel we have huge shop of ikea and i really dont like those huge shops :-))) im kind of lost there:-)
hm1912 Posted August 9, 2006 Share #10 Â Posted August 9, 2006 Great shot of the Bahaus style Victor. It was only a few months ago that I was walking around Shenkin with a cousin taking similar photos! Keep them coming.
vic vic Posted August 9, 2006 Author Share #11 Â Posted August 9, 2006 great ilan, next time u r there - i highly recomend fantastic restourant - "orna ve ella" - it is towards the end of shenkin if u come from the "carmel market" side. almost everything they do is simply superior.
