stuny Posted January 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) We are not fans of Andy Warhol's work, but when The Whitney Museum mounted a retrospective we had to go - Often in the past when viewing retrospectives we've found rather interesting, greater depth to an artist's body of work. Not so for us with Warhol. Here's Barbara at the entrance. Welcome, dear visitor! dkmoore Posted January 3, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2019 Call me un-sophisticated or whatever but I don't "get" the allure either...Very opened minded of you to give his work another chance.
stuny Posted January 3, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted January 3, 2019 Charles, Keith & Graham - Thank you. DK - Thank you. We went in during the museum members early hours to avoid the crowds, Afterwards we ate in their excellent restaurant, "Untitled," and marveled at the constant long lines of people outside waiting to get in to the museum. I suspect most did not know what they were in for, but knew Warhol's name.
