AceVentura1986 Posted December 31, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, Years ago as some may recall, there was considerable debate about the right type of SD cards for the M9 platform. Based on the advice on this forum, I bought Panasonic gold 32gig cards for both my ME and M9M. I can honestly say that I’ve experienced no problems at all with these cards. My cards, though, are years old and I’m facing the prospect that one or both will eventually become corrupted. Are there still SD cards for the M9 platform that are preferred over others? Are there SD cards that should be avoided? Thanks in advance.

Earlier this month one of my SD cards I've been using for quite some time (my M-E is 6 years old this month) quit working in the camera. I went to B&H Photo Video and ordered 4 of these and have no issues: SanDisk 16GB Ultra UHS-I SDHC Memory Card (Class 10)

ianman Posted January 1, 2019 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2019 I don't know if they are "the best", I also use SanDisk, but the 32GB ones I think. There's another thread that discusses capacity and speeds that could be worth looking into.

No need for anything bigger and the 80ms is great for ingesting speed to the computer. Of course the camera writes waaaay slower than that. I bought 4 threw my old ones away. Plus buying from B&H I believe you’re guaranteed the cards are really made by SanDisk.

I’ll give it a look. As I recall, a lot of the problem years ago was thought to be caused by counterfeit SanDisk cards. The genuine ones never seemed to be an issue.
