Advertisement Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Hi jamriman, Take a look here 21mm zeiss ZM f/4.5. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Baxter Posted July 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 18, 2007 Yes, I bought one today! Another visit to my local toyshop; the finest in the land - Robert White's. Lovely little thing, although not had a chance to take any pictures with it. 46mm filter and is compact. I chose to buy the rectangular CV 28/35mm viewer which is much smaller (lower profile, less likely to snag) and cheaper than the Zeiss one. Latter is clearer though. Will post pix when I've got something decent. Sean Reid has tested a pre-production one alongside other similar lenses.
sean_reid Posted July 18, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 18, 2007 I did test it and it was outstanding. Cheers, Sean
Shootist Posted July 18, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 18, 2007 You should also look at the CV 21mm f/4 Skopar. The new model is M mount so no adapter needed. I find this lens a beauty. It has opened my eyes to the quality of CV lenses.
martinb Posted July 18, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 18, 2007 Good to hear about the 21mm. I'm really excited about the 18mm. Will be here in August. Will sure be an interesting lens for many applications!

jamriman Posted July 19, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted July 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I decided to order this lens from Tony Rose and have it sent to DAG for VF lines modification and coding. I'm selling my 15CV and D lux 3 with luigi case to recoup damage if anyone is interested. Thanks!
dseelig Posted July 19, 2007 Share #8 Posted July 19, 2007 What frame lines did it trigger ?

wlaidlaw Posted July 19, 2007 Share #10 Posted July 19, 2007 Brings up the 50mm frame lines. Another mindless decision by Zeiss. Thank goodness they seem to better at designing lenses. They must know that a lot of these lenses are going to be used on an M8. In order for these to trigger coding as either a WATE or a 21mm Elmarit, they need to have the 28/90 bayonet plus obviously either hand coding or JM milled pits. I thought we had got this through to Zeiss but obviously not - disappointing. I cannot see any downside of having a 28/90 bayonet, after all no M or M clone has a 21mm frameline. Wilson The CV Bessa R4A and R4M do... But then again they don't rely on the lens to trigger the frame... (a selector lever is used instead)
