I have an M8.2. I have a few 6 bit coded lens they all show the lens info. Today i put on the camera for first time a Zeiss 28 Zm. Shot a few pics then looked at the info. The camera photo info showed 28mm. The other two M8 cameras I have owned and sold never showed the info on non coded lens. Strange is this normal?

It might have a screw in just the right spot.

The code is a pattern of bright and dark spots that is read by six photo sensors in the lens mount. If there happen to be screws or other features where the photo sensors expect sensor spots, they might be misread as dark spots.

OK, anomalies on the lens itself would be the problem.  Verstehe.  Thanks/Danke
