kknox55@gmail.com Posted December 10, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 10, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an M8.2. I have a few 6 bit coded lens they all show the lens info. Today i put on the camera for first time a Zeiss 28 Zm. Shot a few pics then looked at the info. The camera photo info showed 28mm. The other two M8 cameras I have owned and sold never showed the info on non coded lens. Strange is this normal?
Advertisement Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Hi kknox55@gmail.com, Take a look here My M8.2 recognizes lens w/out coded lens.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AKMacAddict Posted December 10, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 10, 2018 My M8 doesn't recognize the one coded lens I own. I tried to manually code a couple of other lens, and none worked. I blamed that on my lame attempt at coding. But, not sure if it's the properly coded lens, or the body not working correctly.

pop Posted September 30, 2020 Share #5 Posted September 30, 2020 The code is a pattern of bright and dark spots that is read by six photo sensors in the lens mount. If there happen to be screws or other features where the photo sensors expect sensor spots, they might be misread as dark spots.
