biglouis Posted July 17, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) <groan, not another moggy shot!> I think I am going to like this lens. Just acquired a s/h Elmarit-M 21/2.8 (pre-asph). I can't believe how sharp this lens is as well as the colour rendition and contrast. This shot is close to a 100% crop at f4 ISO 800 on my R-D1. Couldn't resist sharing.

spylaw4 Posted July 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 18, 2007 Great study of an intensely interested cat Louis. "What is he doing? Shall I vanish and leave him my grin?"
biglouis Posted July 18, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted July 18, 2007 Brian, thanks for the comment. I was actually surprised that he let me get quite close to him in order to take this shot. Regards Louis

semrich Posted July 18, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 18, 2007 No need to groan Louis, have courage, it is a nice shot. I am about to post a few cat photos myself, part of a street cat gallery I am about to put up on my site.
biglouis Posted July 18, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted July 18, 2007 Keith/Richard Thanks for the kind comments. Richard, I'll look forward to seeing your photographs. I am thinking of collecting together a series of the cats that inhabit the gardens behind our prorpety so I'd be interested in seeing your work.
