thighslapper Posted December 25, 2018 Share #21  Posted December 25, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve been using this extensively over the last week and can get consistent results (with care) at f/10 secs ....... and f/20 secs and less  if partly supported, such as sitting with elbows on knees. That equates to 3-5 stops with OIS on. 1/10 sec at 280mm is successful about 50% of the time ...... and you are then into the realms of depressing the shutter in between heartbeats like target shooting to achieve this. To be honest I’ve found the limitations imposed by moving subjects more of an issue when you get down to these shutter speeds than holding the SL + 90-280 steady. Personally hate shooting at high ISO’s and will always opt for marginally achievable handheld shutter speeds ..... even if it means taking half a dozen shots to get a couple that are tack sharp. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
