It requires machining and experience to get the adapter right, plus the two independent focus systems seems like a struggle to handle. zeitz Posted November 12, 2018 Share #3 Posted November 12, 2018 Each of the principal formats (square, 4:5, 5:7, 3:2, 16:9) have their proponents. With the excess of pixels on many digital cameras today, it seems correcting the format in post-processing gives excellent results. The attached 16:9 image is from a Nikon D810 shot with the native 3:2 format. I guess for those who print really big an anamorphic lens on a medium format camera would allow much larger prints.
