howiebrou Posted November 10, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 10, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I shoot with the Visoflex on my M-P 240 a lot at right angles especially when you want the low down perspective. I believe there is a slot on version for the SL but is there one for the Q? Given that the screen does not flip it would be very useful.

Leica Guy Posted November 10, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2018 I think the right angle is on your smart phone using the Fotos app. Not ideal, but workable. I wish for an articulating rear LCD, but that’s not currently the design.

I can't think of anything more clumsy than stooping down whilst holding and looking at your phone in bright sunshine and trying to keep the horizon level whilst changing aperture, shutter speed and iso! Not my first choice either. I actually enjoy taking low angle shots. An articulating LCD would be great. Given the already included macro capability, it would seem Leica could offer a better solution. I wish!

Exactly, taking a horizontal photo of a flower close-up or even making use of the wide 28mm for a panoramic shot would be massively helped by a right angle finder. Even better make it able to move 90 degrees and any angle between. Edited November 10, 2018 by howiebrou

PhotoCruiser Posted May 5, 2020 Share #7 Posted May 5, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just stumbled over this inexpensive right angle viwefinder and they claim it works for 22mm wide viewfinders including Leica. I thought that the EVF is also 22mm wide and the rubber part can be pulled off and below is the guide to attach the viwefinder. But is just discovered that the Q2 Viwefinder is wider, so unfortunately this product will not work on the Q2. So we are back to the FOTO App and a cell phone
