Gerard Posted July 20, 2007 Share #21 Posted July 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My D2 died yesterday. I'm gutted. enclosed is one of the last images I took with it before white light was transformed into a lovely shade of green. Has anyone else been offered the D3 upgrade? Would you go fo it, or wait the 12-weeks for a D2 repair? Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted July 20, 2007 Author Share #22 Posted July 20, 2007 Send it directly to Solms - that will cut the turnaround considerably. And I have looked at the D3. It is not an upgrade to me, it is a totally different concept of a camera. I like the D2 too much to be happy with the D3, and it would cost money to buy too, despite the offer. I would probably not even do a straight swap. But then I am in the happy circumstance that my up-market needs (not meant snobbishly!!!) are catered for by the M8. jaapv Posted July 21, 2007 Author Share #23 Posted July 21, 2007 Jaap,Sorry to hear re. the problems with your D2. However I'm now very curious for the results, especially when you write ".. not fit for publication" Like this: the M8 is capable of producing utterly uninteresting shots..... Welcome, dear visitor!
