Good day,

I will forever remember the day I received my first Leica: I lived in London when I stayed at home on 7 July 2005 to accept the delivery of my first Leica. This, of course, was the day of the London bombings. Waiting for the postman to arrive saved me from being in the tube around Russell Square at the time of the bombings. Instead, I was watching the news on TV at home in utter disbelief.

No deliveries were made on that day in central London. I received my Leica (a silver MP) on the next day and have been shooting it since then. My first lens was a mint silver Tri-Elmar that I bought 2nd hand for the pricey sum of 1210 Euro :-) I later added a second MP (hammertone) and a few lenses. Research about my soon-to-be-acquired first digital M led me to this forum.

I meanwhile live down under. My user name reveals my second passion, jazz.
