EddieCheddar Posted October 19, 2018 Share #1  Posted October 19, 2018 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, Last week I bought an SL, and on the first day I went out and shot some random, casual pictures -- just messing with all the settings, et cetera -- no tripod, or perfect lighting, or even perfect focusing -- just getting comfortable with the camera and weight.  Once I got home, I decided to make a large print one of the shots, just to see what they might look like.  I simply exported the RAW file from the camera (I did zero edits, crops, color, et cetera to the file -- straight export from the camera) and had it printed on paper, mounted on sintra board, with an acrylic top -- it turned out very colorful, sharp, crisp and nice.  I'll try and attached some pictures here to give you all an idea of how it came out (this site wants the file sizes super small, so hopefully you can view them okay) . If you'd like, you can see the original picture in the SL Picture Thread, post #6042, page 321. PS. Now, can one of you stop by and help me hang this beast to the right of the flag?  🙂  PSS. Anyone have any advice or thoughts on printing large prints?  If so, please share with us all.  Thanks in advance. CharlesL Posted October 20, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted October 20, 2018 (edited) Comparing the photo on an earlier page with the shots of the print, I bet the print service edited the file. Many printing firms will do it either way at the customer's choice: they will edit or they will stay strictly hands off. If you like what they did, great. If you want people here to see a larger file, you can get a Flickr account, put it up there and link to it in your post here.
