Oh yes, a wonderful camera, pared down to the essentials and yet with some useful (and beautiful) details, exactly, just as you write. Also teaches you quite a lot about photography (and reminded me also of my Minolta SRT 100x when I was a few, err, years younger...). However, why on earth do you add all that clutter like a motor drive to such a slim gem?

Thanks!

LOL! I bought the motors just out of the fact that they were so cheap, and they can work with the wired remote for when I have the camera on a tripod with a long lens, or on a macro/copy stand. I didn't really intend to buy both ... It was a bit of foolishness and poor listings that didn't articulate that the grip came with the winder and the motor came with a grip that led me to have both. The 2fps winder suffices for my desires, and handling the camera with either motor or winder plus grip makes it terribly bulky and unpleasant to me, so I could have done without the grip anyway: It's nicer to hold and works more comfortably for me.

Silly stuff. :)

Yes, have fond memories of my R6.2. I finally switched to M because of (the absence of a digital R6.2 and) the weight of the R stuff. Half a ton of R-lenses (let alone a grip and a winder etc) in your rucksack when hiking through a tropical country is not fun. So my R6.2 has retired, but from time to time I still get this beauty out and listen to the mechanics working inside it. Would never part from it. Enjoy your R6.2!
