Pingus Posted October 2, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings. I'm a current very happy owner of an X-Vario and am thinking of getting a second hand X 113 now that prices are getting reasonable. Due to the weight and size of the lens on the X-Vario, I've always used an Arte Di Mano half case with built in grip to allow me to hold it more comfortably. I really prefer a wrist strap don't like using a neck strap with the camera dangling and bouncing around my waist or hip. For those of you with experience with the X 113, is an accessory grip or case needed ? I don't think there is a thumbs up model for this camera, is there ? Any info or feedback is very welcome thanks much

DwF Posted October 3, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 3, 2018 Hi There, and welcome here! As of a couple weeks ago, I have an X Vario to accompany my older X 113. With my cameras I just use a neck-strap but have a leather case for the X 113. I don't have a grip for either. I have seen a grip in pictures and imagine there must be a Thumbs-UP for the X-Vario. i am pretty certain the case and other accessories for X Vario would fit the X 113 with exception of the EVF. If I did look for a grip, preferring to maintain a compact profile for the camera, I'd likely choose a Thumbs UP. When I had a Sony RX1R the Thumbs UP was my solution to keep it small David
Stanleyyu1973 Posted October 4, 2018 Share #3 Posted October 4, 2018 Hi Pingus, I also use the a leather case with neck-strap. Why I choose the case, because I want keep the body still small and lightly, easy put in bag. But I have find one problem of the case, if you want change the battery, you must be removed the case. Only this minor thing.
leicadude Posted October 8, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2018 Hi Pingus, I use the Leica grip for X113. It’s very comfortable and secure. It’s quick to remove for battery access. With it i use the original long leather neck strap. Easy to carry, hands free and instantly ready for use. Sometimes I will swap the neck strap for a wrist strap. Also practical. Guest Posted October 8, 2018 Share #7 Posted October 8, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) 113 + grip + FINGER LOOP! the finger loop does make a difference indeed, because this camera can be used single handedly.
