howiebrou Posted September 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 30, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was wondering if anyone had any solution to adapt a M Strap with its metal rings to a Leica SL with its flat attachement? I don’t want to scratch the SL attachments with the metal rings on my strap but would like to utilise my M strap if possible。 I thought of using the Peak Design quick release string with plastic disc system but am not sure how to attach that system to a non PD strap。 Any assistance appreciated! mmradman Posted September 30, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 30, 2018 By discarding metal hoops and plastic surround M strap camera could be used on SL. Be mindful that M strap does not come with angular plastic rings only buckles, it may not be enough to make it secure. If you can find old camera strap, like in camera shops where they may have odd bins you may be able to salvage missing bits, width of M strap webbing is common.
