While there is no question about the problems the M8 has faced there is some light at the end of the tunnel for me at least. I submit the following test shot made with a jm coded MATE with a leica uriv cut 28mm@f8. No post, no vingeting, no cyan. I'm a happy boy.

Yes, but tast matters also.

 

I posted a message yesterday about (a part of) my workflow that allows me to get more vivid greens.

Sorry Sander .... but these vivid greens look "neon" to me ..... i am not fond of the color green in any way .. so that might explain .........a matter of preference like you state..... nothing as subjective as "true color" ;)

I can relate to that.

 

I must say I overstated the greens a bit to show a difference.

 

But for me, green is one of my favourite colors, and I hate my greens to be muddy/murky.
