eliu37 Posted September 6, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I found another problem with my 240. When I align the image and object in the viewfinder, the photo comes out to be out of focus. if the image is on the left side of the object, if lucky, it is in focus. Any ideas? The lens was used in M9 and has no issues at all. The 240 live view can still take sharp images. Can anyone help me again? Thank you
Advertisement Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Hi eliu37, Take a look here viewfinder focus inaccurate. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Exodies Posted September 6, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2018 If what is in focus using the rangefinder is different from what is in focus using live view then either the lens or the camera or both need to be adjusted by Leica. If the lens is ok on another camera then it is more likely to be the camera which needs attention.

Exodies Posted September 6, 2018 Share #4 Posted September 6, 2018 It might be simple enough to do it yourself. Search the forum for instructions. The treads usually say how to tell if you have the easy problem.
Gregm61 Posted September 6, 2018 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2018 It really gets problematic when you have multiple bodies, LOL, as some of the lenses (primarily in the 75-135mm range and at wider apertures) focus more accurately on one than they will on another. Think the 240 has some problem. I focus the same way in the m9, and image comes out to be clear. In 240, the image comes out to be blurry. or If I use live view to do focusing, and check the viewfinder and the image and object do not align. Jean-Michel Posted September 7, 2018 Share #13 Posted September 7, 2018 As a Canadian member, I can suggest that you contact people at the Leica boutique in Montreal. Go to camtecphoto.com and click on the Leica boutique. They are great and may be able to help you.
sblutter Posted September 17, 2018 Share #14 Posted September 17, 2018 Yikes! Sounds like the sensor isn't seated properly. I assume you've done tests with flat subject matter - like a bookcase or similar
