voightL Posted July 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a macro adapter for the Elmar 90mm macro lens. When I fitted the adapter with the lens, I noticed the vertical alignment is off and that makes it very difficult to focus. I have no problems with vertical alignment with all my lenses even 90mm macro(without macro adapter). Does anyone has this same problem? Thanks. vanhulsenbeek Posted July 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 13, 2007 Hallo! My experience is that indeed the alignment seems of, but only when the back of the camera and the vertical line in your subject are not strictly parallel. Furthermore, the 1.25 loupe for the viewfinder would help in looking straight into the viewfinder: also important. After the purchase of the loupe and realising the first item I mentioned above, I have no problem and do get tack-sharp pictures.
