abrewer Posted September 3, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 3, 2018 I cannot imagine a more beautiful backdrop for Herr Opel's one-of-a-kind rocket vehicle than the magnificent Schloss Schwetzingen, where I assume this photograph was taken during the Concours d'Elegance this Labor Day weekend. Tire tip: the big, hard rubber lugs and abundant voids in the tread give a clue as to the surface this car trod--crushed and compacted gravel. I've seen photos of the car fitted with railroad wheels also, when it was clocked on rails circa 1930. Thanks for this interesting and memorable picture of a very rare and unique vehicle.
