I’ve had my late German 35mm Pre-A for about a month and am still getting to know it (mostly on my M10-D but also M10M). As others have said in this thread, flare is unpredictable. I took this photo earlier today and it’s my most successful attempt at capturing sun stars to-date with this lens.

17 minutes ago, M11 for me said:

@evikne what do you mean by that? Do you mean the lenses? Which ones?

No, I mean the threads (see the post before mine). There used to be one for discussion and one for image sharing. Now both have turned into image threads.

I love what Portra 400 (with a 2-stop ND filter) and this lens can do with highlight tones.

Sounds great. Mine has never been in good condition, I have had it for 40 years (1972 ed.) but images until recently were fine. Quality was going down hill, so I sent it to DAG, got it back and it has been excellent, the cleaning and realignment really lowered the glow at f1.4, still there but much less than before.

I said I'd show an f1.4 image from my lens after a DAG CLA. Just a little bit of glow.
