Great image. I've been incredibly happy with the SL2-S.  hope you are too Costa and looking forward to more pics

Thanks Graham, I’ll take it for a test out today but round the house yesterday was great. With the 35 it’s light enough to carry around all day and I took your advice on the focus peaking and b&w live view combo and found it incredibly easy to frame and expose a scene. I’m also a big fan of lower resolution sensors and can see a difference in rendering between my m10r and sl2s that I think I will enjoy 😊

I'm looking at a Canadian version and a German version. Both are pretty clean.

Is there any difference between Canadian and German in terms of images? And if not, I'm wondering why the German ones are always more expensive than Canadian.

oops, sorry about that. My intention wasn't to engage in buying/selling activities, just to inquire about differences between the 2. I edited my post to get rid of mention of price.

I think this question was addressed in your "questions re 35mm 1.4 Summilux pre-asph" thread.  If you want to to see samples of Canadian and German versions, look at all 122 pages of this thread.  Some of the posters list which lens they are using, so see if you can discern the differences.

I recently purchased a v.2 Canadian pre-asph., after concluding that the differences between v.2 Canadian and late German versions are not as important as differences between individual lenses, plus additional variables such as shooting conditions, film selection, processing and post-processing practices, etc.  The important thing is to get a good condition lens and then use it extensively to learn its tendencies.  There are certainly differences between Canadian models and German models, such as different coatings that affect how much "glow" a lens produces, but these are differences that can be discerned only by direct comparison between lenses.
