So true! All my favourite images of my mum and my wife are their least favourite. They tend to prefer the ones when I've missed focus slightly or dialled it to f1.4!

Thank you. No it was edited in LR.  I tend to warm the beach shots up and move the highlights and mids a little towards the orange channel, shadows to blue for some balance and then tweak the orange,red,yellow sliders to liking and reduce the blue saturation a little. I also tend to reduce the dehaze and texture a little as with the modern sensors, I find them a little too 'harsh' even with this vintage lens.

wide open or f2. Unsure but it gives a nice painterly look imo.
