this building sits across NYC's Madison Square from the muchly photographed Flatiron building

it was meant to be a 100 story skyscraper, but the Great Depression intervened and it was never fully realized

the porticos facing Madison Avenue are grand enough for a 100 story building and perhaps a bit over the top for one housing a life insurance company

I tediously cloned out an telephone wire that ran across the frame ...this was taken with a vintage 90 mm 'lux and I dual converted the file from the DNG to boost the DR

Well done! I'm not able to find where the wire passed. Just curious.

I tried to avoid the wire or at least place it in a spot that would make for simple cloning, but the bit across the detail work just to the right of center proved a cloning challenge & took me more time than I had wished, though I do find PS work fun :rolleyes:
