Jeff S Posted August 24, 2018 Share #23 Posted August 24, 2018 I’m already famous. But a Leica logo would be lovely. Any idea of the costs? Famous people can negotiate, or more likely, have enough money not to care. No, but a quick call or email to customer service will provide the latest policy. silverchrome Posted August 27, 2018 Share #24 Posted August 27, 2018 But it is certainly a theft-deterrent. I'm sure thieves don't look that closely when they steal something!

budjames Posted August 28, 2018 Share #26 Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) I love my M10s. Since I just purchased them within the past 9 months, I'm not tempted to trade them in for the M10-P, although the quiet shutter and level are nice upgrades. The "nice" thing about the high cost of Leica gear is it helps fights the continual upgrade GAS urges. And, as far as the lenses go, there really isn't anything better so no need to upgrade. Buy once, cry once! Regards, Bud James Please check out my fine art and travel photography at www.budjames.photography or on Instagram at www.instagram.com/budjamesphoto. If you're already famous and someone could either steal the camera or kill you to steal the camera :-). Edited August 29, 2018 by vikasmg

Red Dot Cameras Posted August 30, 2018 Author Share #29 Posted August 30, 2018 Thanks for the review, this is the most (and only) interesting video review of the M10-P yet. Doing the shutter sound comparison, did you set them to the same shutter speed? The "lingering" sound on the M9 is of course the shutter re-cocking, the actual shutter sound is really not loud at all. Is the touch screen only used for image viewing or can it be used for navigating the menus and settings? If this is the case I wonder why they kept the other buttons. Hi iaman, we did indeed set all the cameras to 1/125th shutter speed and had 35mm lenses on every camera as well. Everything was recorded at with the same manual microphone and recorder settings so the sound you hear is relative to all the other cameras shutter sounds. Listening back to the video, we would actually say the M10-P sounds even quieter in real life. The touchscreen is only for image review and focus check in live view, no menu items respond to touch.
