I worked for Globe-Trotter in my youth, an interesting company still making luggage by hand using equipment dating back to the 19th century, most of their staff were life-long employees.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.  :)

Each one has a new sensor which looks amazingly like the old sensors. :-)

Seriously, I don’t know anyone personally who would buy one of these. Do you? Why? Status symbol? Seems utterly absurd to me, but I also know Leica would not create these kinds of “extensions” unless there was a market for them. The profit margin must be extraordinary. Exclusive squared!

Suggestion for Leica to promote this frivolity: throw in a damn globe - red if you like.

May I also point out that many of us who have traveled the globe do not respond, with fondness, to any derivation of the word "trots." I am now revisiting the memory of an "out of body" experience whilst floating on a barge in the Ganges off Varanasi....
