film_god Posted July 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I sold my CV 21mm f/1.8 and bought a chrome 21mm f/3.4 super angulon for about $700 today. Much smaller lens that focuses a bit closer. It's got some moderate haze in it but i'm pretty confident in my ability to take it apart and clean it. Before I do, though, I was wondering if anyone has done this and if it's similar to the older f/4 version or the 35mm f/3.5 Summaron-M, both of which I have successfully taken apart and cleaned in the past. JSU Posted August 15, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 15, 2018 (edited) The rear group will screw out, revealing a spanner nut which secures the front group. Schneideritis is failing cement between the elements, it won't clean out. If limited, sharpness isn't affected but contrast will diminish a bit.
