pedaes Posted August 10, 2019 Share #103 Posted August 10, 2019 Neil, I think what people are honestly searching for is how you see the stubble differently than how it would look taken at 1/250th.

If any, then the ND has diminished a little bit of the sharpness and caused a longer exposure or higher ISO. Nothing of value for the grass. What part of my much earlier comment didn’t you understand? I preach experimentation more than anyone. “Try it and see” is my mantra of sorts, as opposed to continuously asking forum members for answers to basic questions, as you’re prone to do. Ironic. Regardless, you didn’t answer the question. What does the ND filter do to bring out the grass? Did you try the shot without an ND filter too? You know, a basic learning experiment. I wish I had taken a shot without the ND filter so that I could show whatever if any the difference is. My gut feeling is that there probably isn’t but I’m glad I shot it with the filter on as I love the outcome There are a bunch of negative comments on this thread that is really amazing as most of the negative comes from jealousy and punters that don’t even own a naughtlux who gives a shit if there is a filter on it or not, why can’t folk just either like it or not and preferably if you don’t like it move on to the next one. After spending a week with my daughter in Dundee, me my wife and my naughtlux are heading to the West coast of Scotland and I will shoot the whole of the west cost of Scotland with my 10 stop ND filter on it 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Neil

Its a great picture and one I would be pleased to have hanging on my wall, but if you think we are jealous of you because of a lens that you own you really do have a problem. Also the truth only hurts if it is true, ponder that thought.

The picture is very nice, but unfortunately it was you that introduced the filter issue, which you could have answered just this way right up front rather than changing the subject and dancing throughout the thread. Now if you really care about the learning part, there will be many other opportunities to conduct a better experiment, without even needing to produce a similarly nice composition.
