Dsauro Posted July 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone. Is there a way to lock spot metering and then recompose the photo without the metering changing ? For instance if I spot meter on the sky, and then recompose the shot, the entire I lose the advantage of the cloud detail since the entire scene now lightens to accommodate the shadow area’s? Apologies if this issue has been raised earlier. Thanks

Chuck Albertson Posted July 23, 2018 Share #4 Posted July 23, 2018 There are no dumb questions on the SL. The printed/downloaded manual is stuck on firmware version 2.0, whereas a number of significant changes to the camera's operation have been made in versions 3.0/3.1/3.2. It never hurts to ask.
