I just updated my Leica T with the latest firmware 1.8. It appeared to work properly. Whenever I turn on the camera, the screen flashes very briefly the lens is being updated and immediately goes to the normal screen. I am afraid the lens was not updated. Any suggestions would be welcome.

It happens every time I turn the camera on. I am thinking that possibly I turned camera off before the update to the lens was complete. The instructions

for the update did not address the additional step for the attached lens.

That sounds awkward.  I had it happen to me but only once.  I turned the camera off and on a few times yesterday and it did not happen again.

I actually also put the same lens on the CL once and then back on the T with the same effect, it did not happen again.

Make sure the battery is fully charged. It happened to me too when I attempted to update the firmware with a partially charged battery. The symptom went away after I replaced the battery with a freshly fully charged one.

However that was with updating my TL2. All my T's would not let me update beyond Ver. 1.61. :(

v1.8 hangs then crashes smartphone app, whereas in v1.6 through v1.7 app connection and operations ran smoothly; in v1.7 35 chroma was magenta, v1.8 added green; AF on 55-135 AF was better in v1.51, been progressively haunting with firmware updates from v1.6 through v1.8; as with LCD-EVF switch, getting agedly slower since v1.6

Anyway to revert previous firmware on a T?

mikozia: "All my T's would not let me update beyond Ver. 1.61".

there are two 1.70 and 1,8.

Updated perfectly well here on the T. Updates the connected lens too. Remember that when you switch the lens after, it will update that lens too....
