"Lightness" through Sony and 50mm Cron

Well here I am again with maybe the stupidest question of the day, but:

 

Oops I must confess to also having bought a Sony a7rii with adapters for both R and M lenses, and that's where my question lies: why does the Cron come out so dark, or what am I doing wrong in this not apples to apples comparison?

 

Now the whole idea was for me to make use of all my R and M lenses on a digital camera, while shooting film when my mood so dictated. The darkness made me a little apprehensive towards the use of these lenses, so please tell me that I'm doing something wrong such that I can regain my faith in the red dot :-)

Try shoot both at 5.6 at 50mm to get a faithful representation of the differences.

Earlier this year I bought a Sony A6500 (APS-C) and (mainly out of curiosity) have tried my R lenses (35, 60, 90mm - all Elmarits plus my 21-35mm Vario) and even tried the 90mm + 2x Extender-R. I already had the Leica R to M adaptor and as I am morel likely to use my M lenses with the A6500, I bought the Novoflex NEX/LEM adaptor and piggy-backed the two of them.  No issues at all.  A few quick test-shot  examples in one of my Flickr albums.
