stuny Posted July 9, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Last week I showed you the cathedral inside the citadel on the Island of Gozo, Malta (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/landscape-travel/28696-catedral-cittadella.html). As they were completing the building they ran out of materials, so they hired an artist to paint the ceiling to look like a dome from where the congregation would sit and walk, as shown in image 1. However, if you walk directly below the “dome” you see what the priest sees, a clever bit of optical illusion, as shown in image 2. The third image shows where the dome should be.
