Leica M7 now discontinued

Meister in Berlin seem to be the only source (as far as I know) where you can order spare M6 and M7 battery caps online. I ordered a few some weeks ago.

 

I am lucky in one way, as my M7 cap is extremely difficult to remove, so I would hope not to lose it. For that reason I use the longer lasting CR1/3N lithium batteries, as it is such a struggle to get the cap off. I have to use one of those special bits of sticky plastic for removing jar tops. All that said I will now probably lose it tomorrow, so it is good to know I can get them from Meister. They are very pleasant and helpful people to deal with, like most Leica dealers.
