thighslapper Posted May 24, 2018 Share #41  Posted May 24, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm glad you have decided on at least one SL lens.  SL is a 'system' and the full benefits are only realised by using the lenses for which it is designed.  You won't be disappointed with the 75/2.

d30gaijin Posted May 29, 2018 Share #42  Posted May 29, 2018 Buy every old Leica lenses you can find, they are worth it. True Leica character. Two of my favorites are the vintage Hector 50/2.5 and Hector 73/1.9. They will render images you will never get with today’s super sharp lenses. Combine them with the b&w setting in your career for truly enjoyable and beautiful images.  Just my thought.  Don
mls1483 Posted May 29, 2018 Share #43 Â Posted May 29, 2018 The SL with the new Summicrons 75mm and 35mm is just perfect. Â Your M lenses are fast, small, lightweight and render beautifully. They are easy to focus with the EVF of the SL. To me the M lenses still have a special character. Â Thus, I would use the SL system for AF and outmost IQ and keep the M lenses for street at low light.

From the images i have seen, and despite having and keeping Summilux M 75mm, Summicron L 75mm may be the one to get.  As much as wide range offered in full frame L zooms is attractive size is, just my opinion, seriously offputting.

I'm very happy with my decision    From the images i have seen, and despite having and keeping Summilux M 75mm, Summicron L 75mm may be the one to get.  As much as wide range offered in full frame L zooms is attractive size is, just my opinion, seriously offputting.  I agree, and thus I only use zooms for smaller sensor cameras. In my case a Fuji X system.  I put the order in for the 75 SL, just need to wait a couple weeks I think.
