Indeed Otto, it is about 12Nm to the east of where we lived, and the owner was friend. Hobbiton. Visited a few times, it's quite tourist attraction as well.

While overseas, any time we spoke to people and they found we were from NZ, the two things they instantly said was "Lord of the Rings", and "The All Blacks". Oh, and very few people, and lots of sheep.
