It was taken at one of those battle reenactments last weekend (The Battle of Longwoods, 1814). I'd never beed to one before, but it was a marvellous place to get portraits. The participants take the hobby very seriously, camping out in tents in the cold, etc. I agree, the hat needs a little "brassing", but overall the costumes were marvellous. My seven-year-old son had a great time. Check out his hat (M6, 50lux, Tri-X):

Steve, I can't help but see the humour in your pic. On the one hand the young woman desperately trying to grab a phone pic, whilst the 'sophisticated' one marches blythly by.

As an aside, the image seems a bit pale on my monitor. My preference would be to tone it down a bit and get better saturation. Just my opinion.

Nicely seen and arranged image. Love the way Portra rides above other colour film for accuracy, despite its hideous cost.

Finally the M6 is back from Vienna with new seals everywhere. Works like a champ, even in the trampoline! 😁

Kentmere 400 pushed to 800 with a yellow filter on top, developed in xtol 1+1. A combo I’m enjoying quite a bit.
