These are shots I recently took. Nothing to write home about, but they were shot on Kodak 5219, aka Vision3 500T. On S-35mm, I rated the film IE 320; on FF, I found IE 400 works just fine. Cinestill 800 is the same stock, but with the rem jet layer removed, allowing for reddish helation galore. I prefer the original to the rem jet-free copy. None of the shots received a tungsten-to-daylight 85 filter correction. This pays into the special look of 5219, I find. This was/is often the preferred method in cinematography as well.

BTW, the lens is the mighty 35mm Nokton 1,4 SC. The night exterior longshot was shot at f 1,4 and 1/60.

Interesting Hansvons, thank you..........I've still got some 5219 short ends in the freezer so if I can drag myself out of my B&W world I am tempted to try a load or two of that stock with stills on an upcoming trip and home process afterwards.

Right about not needing to use an 85 filter, I rarely did that preferring to keep all the film speed I could, shoot a grey card / Macbeth and trust to the magic touch of my favourite telecine colourist to find the right white balance. Vision is an amazing filmstock.
