How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 1000 kB (2000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Testing my newly acquired Tele-Elmar 135. Was looking for a waterproof p&s for swimming pool shoots, this failed. Considered an slr, then realized that I can pick one of this lens for less than 200usd. Really like it so far.

Great shot - seeing kids enjoying themselves is a tonic for all the crap you see from the ‘adults’ in the news these days

2020 was the worst year yet - but they reassured me that 2021 couldn't be any worse.  I'm not so sure about that: Ten days in and we're having major Brexit problems emerging, another lockdown in place, a more virulent new strain of Covid bubbling over, thousands more dying than in the first wave back in April, and now a Trump-inspired attempted coup in with the storming of the Capital. 

I think when my 14-day free-trial period for 2021 ends in a couple of days, I won't be subscribing to this year!
