adan Posted July 6, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's late, so I'll just post this sample and then retire to await comments. 21 pre-ASPH, no IR filter, opened in ACR at both 10.3 and 25.4 Megapixels final file size. Full frame and 100% crops. Seems like a vast amount of textures visible. Denver Pridefest.

luigi bertolotti Posted July 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2007 My impression is of excellent result... maybe a liitle outfocus in the hands in the big image... but probably subjects were moving somewhat... which time exp ?
Jamie Roberts Posted July 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 6, 2007 Andy, skin textures and tones on the M8 (and DMR) are, IMO, excellent. Nothing plastic there
Artichoke Posted July 6, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 6, 2007 do much better with a > 12 bit ADC I think this is the "secret" of the M8's (and Fujifilm's S3/S5 as well as the DMR) superior rendering of skin other manufacturers are realizing the importance of a greater analog to digital sampling rate and are beginning to implement this in their designs as well I think this critical to rendering skin tones with a more life like look
